1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They can serve various purposes, such as security, preferences, and analytics.

This page explains what cookies padel.folkup.fit uses — and, more importantly, what it does not use.

2. Cookies We Use

padel.folkup.fit is a static website with no user accounts and no tracking. The only cookies that may be set on your device come from Cloudflare, our DNS and security provider.

We use Umami for anonymous usage statistics. Umami is a self-hosted, open-source, cookieless analytics solution — it does not place any cookies on your device, does not collect personal data, and does not track individual visitors across sessions.

These cookies are set only when Cloudflare’s security system determines it is necessary (e.g., during unusual traffic patterns). Under normal browsing conditions, you may not encounter them at all.

All cookies on this website are strictly necessary for security purposes. Under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC), as transposed into Portuguese law by Article 5 of Lei 41/2004 (as amended by Lei 46/2012), strictly necessary cookies are exempt from the requirement to obtain prior consent.

This is confirmed by the Article 29 Working Party Opinion 04/2012 (WP 194), endorsed by the EDPB, which explicitly lists security cookies as exempt.

Since we have no cookies that require consent, no cookie banner is needed.

4. Cookies We Do NOT Use

For transparency, padel.folkup.fit does not use:

  • Analytics cookies — our analytics solution (Umami) is fully cookieless and does not set any cookies
  • Advertising or remarketing cookies
  • Social media cookies or tracking pixels
  • Preference or personalisation cookies
  • Any third-party cookies for profiling or behavioural targeting

5. Managing Cookies

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies
  • Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Cookies and Website Data
  • Edge: Settings > Cookies and Site Permissions

Blocking Cloudflare security cookies may occasionally cause issues if Cloudflare’s bot detection is triggered for your connection.

6. Future Changes

If we add any features that require additional cookies (such as analytics), we will:

  1. Update this Cookie Policy
  2. Implement a consent mechanism where required by law
  3. Revise the “Last Updated” date

7. Contact
